Day 22 – February 16th 2009

The best thing to do on a cold, stat holiday morning?

blog-067

Make waffles! I felt that since I allowed a picture of crepes in a post a few days ago, that a waffle picture was necessary. My friends and I are split half and half on the debate of whether waffles or crepes are better. I, of course, am pro-waffle.

For anyone who doesn’t know, a statutory holiday is a day where you don’t have to work but you get paid! (If you do work you’re paid time and a half)Β In Ontario, there are 10 a year:

– New Years Day
– Family Day (Today)
– Good Friday
– Victoria Day (May)
– Canada Day (July)
– Simcoe Day (August)
– Labour Day
– Thanksgiving Day (October)
– Christmas Day
– Boxing Day (Dec. 26th)

So things to do on a statutory holiday? Well, make waffles:

Well, thats what I did for Family Day anyways. πŸ˜› The Queen of Spades game is ongoing but right now my team is winning πŸ˜‰

Hope everyone in Ontario had a good Family Day and everyone else had a nice regular day!

P.S: THANKS TORONTO STAR, YOU’RE SO HELPFUL.
